Q. How you know and why you select the department of Civil. Eng. in Nitech ?
A. I chose this faculty because I wanted to build safe, liveable environments and structures. Recently, the durability of structures is decreasing due to the inferior calculations of Mongolian structures. That’s why I want to learn a lot about structures and knowledgable about increasing the durability of the structure. |

Q. How you know and why you select the department of Civil. Eng. in NITech?
A.My interest in water resources management always encouraged me to further study in the field of water and environment. On the other hand, surface water especially rivers are the main source of water in Afghanistan due to its geographical location as a land-locked mountainous country, Therefore, the Civil and Environmental Department of Nagoya Institute of Technology with proficient esteemed professors and well-equipped laboratories provides me the best research and further studies opportunity in this field. |
|
Q. Introduce your research theme in your laboratory.
A.My research interests include river hydraulics and engineering. My recent studies are the interaction between flow, sediment and bed morphology around permeable pile-groups/vegetation in an open channel. The main purpose is to improve the riverbank stability for reducing environmental disasters such as floods. |
|
Q. What you want to be in further and how you contribute in a society?
A.I am interested to share my knowledge with the young generation of my country and contributing to its water resources management fields. As a member of the major academic societies such as the International Association for Hydro-Environment Engineering and Research “IAHR Young Professional Member”, the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), the Japan Society of Civil Engineers (JSCE), I am keen to contribute and join young researchers’ activities in my future career. |
